A Productivity Coach’s Top 5 Books For Getting More Done
Key insights from the best books
Which are the best books on getting more done?
I downsized recently and got rid of loads of books. But I kept these 5 productivity books. They are so rich in wisdom.
Let’s dive into their key lessons.
Someday is Today — Matthew Dicks
Matthew Dicks is odd, intense and brilliant. I’m not sure I’d want to live or work with him. Yet his eccentricity gives him unique insights you’ll like.
Many productivity books recycle the same ideas. Dicks doesn’t. You won’t agree with or like everything he says. But you will discover some new ideas that will work.
Top three tips:
Use your time cracks — we discard small bits of time (less than 10 minutes) because we don’t think we can do much. But we are so wrong on this. You can do a lot in 10 minutes. Learn to use your 10-minute time cracks and you can gain an hour.
Include time in all decisions — why travel further away for a cheaper product? Why buy a better house further away from work? Because we don’t include time in our decisions. And this damages our life. Money isn’t the only cost.
