What Would You Do With a Spare Hour Every Day? Here’s How To Get It
I was speaking to a friend last week who is close to retiring. And I was surprised to hear he has a phone problem.
He keeps losing time getting lost in his phone. He picks it up to conduct a thirty second activity (check the weather or read a message) and discovers sometime later he has lost 10, 20, 60 minutes of his life, swiping and clicking things he never intended to when he first picked up his phone.
I thought this was an issue mainly for the younger generation but it looks like it is affecting all of us.
If we only used our phones when we deliberately decided to, we would gain 1–2 hours everyday. That’s 30–60 hours every month. Imagine what you could do with all that time. You could learn a new skill, become incredibly fit or start to fulfil one of your dreams.
And all you need to do is limit your phone use to when you deliberately choose to use it.
Unfortunately this is almost impossible. If you achieved this incredible feat — you’d have conquered one the hardest tasks in modern life.
